I added beets to my usual volcano rice/chicken/coconut milk with greens. For the rest of the week, I shall have cheery red and green lunches. 8)
Now, as I sink into the couch recovering from kitchen chaos, I am amused by the mix of commercials.

The first doctor I had spoken with about CD57 test results of 22 told me that I may have Lyme disease and that I should see a specialist.
The specialist went straight into treatment protocols and options. He determined that I had Lyme from my clinical presentation and the CD57 test.
For various reasons, I trusted and went with his plan. I am now 2 months into treatment with some symptoms already better, and some a little worse. So goes Lyme treatment. I did want some other confirmation that Lyme was the culprit. I asked for and he agreed to testing through IGeneX.
I have found a new way to sabotage myself. Vitamin overdose attacked my legs last week. B vitamins can be great for nerves, but more is not better. My adrenal support supplement has some B6 in it and the B12 supplement I take, apparently, also has some B6.
In the past, when patients would ask me about vitamins for their nerves, I would say that I know B vitamins can be really helpful but there is one that can increase nerve symptoms…so ask your doctor or pharmacist.
After experiencing neuropathy type symptoms in my lower legs, I will never forget which one is which! Luckily, peripheral neuropathy symptoms caused by B6 usually reverse quickly. I immediately felt better once I stopped taking B6. I now have a B12 supplement that is ONLY B12.
